The 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, an international event, kicked off at the College of Science, under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad Kazem, and the supervision of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Khazal Mahbes, and with the direct oversight of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Imam Abdul-Zahra. Doctoral students from the college participated in the competition, presenting their research theses in just three minutes, using a simple and clear scientific approach, before a panel of expert judges and a general academic audience. The Department of Life Sciences participated with three research theses presented by its doctoral students: Alaa Abdul Hussein, Batoul Tariq, and Nada Fadhil. This reflects the department's active scientific and research endeavors and its excellence in the field of academic research.
