The Centre's Council comprises the Director-General (who acts as Chairman), the Assistant Director-General, the heads of academic departments, the Director of the Marine Information and Documentation Division, the Director of the Quality and University Performance Assurance Division, and a faculty representative. Some of the highest-rated faculty members are also invited to join. The length of their membership terms is determined by a decision of the University Council, with one member serving as the Council's secretary.
