The College of Education for Humanities Council holds its first session for the 2025-2026 academic year
The College of Education for Humanities Council at the University of Basra held its first session for the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by the Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafta, and attended by the Dean's Assistants for Academic and Administrative Affairs and heads of academic departments.
During the meeting, the Council discussed the academic and administrative plan for the new year, which included several themes, most notably the development of academic excellence and community service, working to improve the quality of educational outcomes in line with labor market requirements, emphasizing the modernization of teaching methods, focusing on course content, and monitoring student attendance.
The Council also reviewed a number of topics on its agenda related to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University Council, as well as instructions that contribute to strengthening the educational process and raising the level of academic performance at the college.
