Hassan Wathiq Ayoub, a lecturer at the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, published a joint scientific paper with a group of distinguished Iraqi and international researchers in a prestigious international journal from the first quarter (Powder Technology, Site Score = 9.0 and Impact Factor = 4.6). The research addresses the treatment of industrially polluted water using a simple method using locally available and inexpensive natural materials, making it an environmentally friendly application for treating polluted water using national resources to find scientific and sustainable solutions that serve society. The research addressed several variables, most notably the effect of salt concentrations on the treatment process. The results demonstrated high efficiency in removing pollutants by improving the properties of the material used by making it nanoscale.
