The Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Basra, Dr. Wissam Juma Lafta, participated in a meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Education for the Humanities in Iraqi Universities, held at the University of Mosul.
The meeting, attended by deans and representatives of colleges of education for the humanities in Iraq, discussed ways to enhance academic and educational cooperation, exchange scientific and research expertise, and mechanisms for updating and developing curricula, based on the recommendations and proposals submitted by the relevant ministerial committee.
The meeting also emphasized the inclusion of Arabic as a core subject in the curricula, as a core subject in various disciplines, to support students' linguistic proficiency and cultural identity
