The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah honored Prof. Dr. Munir Abdul-Jalil Ismail on the occasion of his selection for the third consecutive year in Stanford University’s prestigious list of the world’s top 2% of scientists, in recognition of his distinguished research and outstanding scientific contributions.
The ceremony was led by Prof. Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, Dean of the College of Engineering, in the presence of department heads, faculty members, and students. The Dean praised Dr. Ismail’s scholarly efforts and research achievements, which have elevated the name of the University of Basrah in international academic forums.
He further emphasized that this accomplishment reflects the high caliber of the college’s researchers, calling on students to follow such exemplary scientific figures who contribute to serving society and advancing the academic and research standing of the university.
