The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on the response of olive trees to spraying with chelated iron and seaweed extract.
The session, presented by researcher Ali Abdul Hussein Wali, aimed to examine the effect of treating olive trees with foliar sprays of chelated iron and seaweed extract on several growth and productivity traits, including tree height, stem diameter, leaf dry weight, fruit set percentage, and total productivity.
The study demonstrated that the use of chelated iron and seaweed extract contributes to improving vegetative and floral growth and increasing the efficiency of nutrient absorption, which positively impacts productivity and fruit quality.
