As part of the scientific collaboration between researchers from the University of Basra and international universities, two lecturers from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Muhammad and Professor Dr. Zeina Kazim Al-Younis, published a paper in the journal Plant Foods for Human Nutrition, with a 2024 Impact Factor of 3.6 and a 2024 CiteScore of 5.8, titled:
