The committee for the updated teaching competency test for engineering majors held its session at the Continuing Education Center in the Bab al-Zubair Colleges Complex at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 9, to interview five applicants for new appointments in engineering colleges from public and private universities in Basra Governorate. The meeting included civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering majors. Each applicant delivered a specialized lecture demonstrating their ability to deliver the scientific material to students, in addition to their interaction in the lecture hall and other criteria determined according to the relevant evaluation form. The committee chairman and members then explained the strengths and weaknesses of each applicant, aiming to enhance their personality and ability to teach engineering science. The committee included professors in the engineering majors for all applicants, in addition to two members specializing in educational and psychological counseling, in accordance with ministerial instructions for the updated teaching competency test.
