University of Basra Holds Charity Market to Support Child Cancer Fighters
The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Iraqi Bravery Team for Development and the Compass Team, held a charity market dedicated to supporting child cancer fighters.
The market featured a variety of handicrafts, artwork, paintings, and books, along with food and beverages. The proceeds were allocated to support and provide assistance to children with cancer.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafta, emphasized that this event represents a message of humanitarian solidarity from the university community toward child cancer fighters and a call to raise community awareness of the importance of psychological and material support for this group. He noted that the college plans to organize more similar activities in the future.
The market witnessed a large turnout from students, faculty, and visitors, who expressed their great interaction with this humanitarian initiative.
