The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Role of Media in Society and the Importance of Digital Media”, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basrah, and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, in cooperation with the Technological Incubator Unit, as part of the Entrepreneurship Week activities.
The seminar aimed to highlight the crucial role of media in shaping social awareness and fostering positive communication within society, in addition to emphasizing the significance of digital media in knowledge dissemination and modernizing media practices.
The discussions addressed the shift from traditional to digital media and the impact of modern communication tools on public opinion formation and the promotion of creative and entrepreneurial ideas.
Participants affirmed that digital media has become a vital tool for supporting development and spreading the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among youth.
