The University of Basra organizes an awareness seminar on the impact of drugs on university students.

As part of its educational and awareness-raising activities, the College of Dentistry at the University of Basra organized an awareness seminar titled "The Impact of Drugs on University Students." The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The seminar aimed to highlight the dangers of drug abuse and its negative impact on students' mental and physical health and academic performance, and to raise awareness of the need to protect young people and students against this scourge that threatens their academic and social future.
The seminar included lectures delivered by the Dean of Law, Humam Majeed Abdoun, and specialists in psychiatry, public health, and law. They addressed the behavioral and neurological effects of drugs, as well as the legal penalties imposed on users and dealers, and the educational role of the university and family in preventing addiction.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the Dean of Law emphasized the college's commitment to continuing to organize awareness programs that promote positive behavior among students and support a safe university environment free from negative phenomena.
