Under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Affairs, and under the supervision and support of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basrah, with the coordination and organization of Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Khazaal Al-Kaabi, Assistant to the President for Scientific Affairs, the Office of the Scientific Assistant at the University of Basrah launched a series of scientific workshops aimed at fulfilling the objectives of Iraq’s National Strategic Plan for Education.
The first workshop in this series commenced on Sunday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m., in the Martyr Asaad Saleem Hall at the College of Engineering, with the participation of distinguished researchers and specialists.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd, in the presence of college deans, assistant deans, heads of departments, directors of centers, divisions, and units affiliated with the university presidency, as well as the directors of Quality Assurance Units, Graduate Studies Units, Technology Incubators, and Career Development Units, in addition to editors-in-chief of the university’s academic journals.

These workshops aim to enhance academic and administrative performance, unify institutional vision, and strengthen the university’s alignment with the Ministry’s efforts to advance higher education quality and scientific excellence in Iraq.
