The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority/Student Activities Department honored the Community and Awareness Volunteer Team of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, which was held at the University of Baghdad.
The delegation included Assistant Professor Dr. Zuhair Salem Abdul Razzaq, Head of the Student Activities Unit at the College, Art Instructor Muhammad Qasim Abboud, and a number of college students.
The conference aimed to celebrate the achievements of student teams in the field of volunteer work and encourage such initiatives at the level of Iraqi universities.
The creative and award-winning student teams were honored on Science and Leadership Day in recognition of their efforts and contributions in various fields. The conference emphasized the role of volunteer work in promoting the values of solidarity, social cohesion, and national unity among young people.
The University of Basra Presidency congratulates this great achievement, affirming its continued support and sponsorship of student activities, given their important role in shaping students' personalities and developing their capabilities.
For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, emphasized that the university's doors are open to participation in effective and constructive activities. He called for encouraging young talents to engage in purposeful volunteer work that contributes to advancing the service sector in the service of our beloved Iraq.
