The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on the effect of spraying boron and potassium silicate on white eggplant.
The session, delivered by researcher Zainab Qasim Kazim, aimed to study the effect of spraying different concentrations of boron and silicon on the growth and productivity of eggplant.
The study included findings that increasing eggplant production can be achieved by spraying potassium silicate at a concentration of 1.5 g L-1 and that increasing eggplant fruit weight can be achieved by spraying boron at a concentration of 1.5 g L-1.
The study recommended the use of other fertilizers to increase eggplant production and fruit weight, as well as the use of other concentrations of boron and potassium silicate.
