Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab
The College of Nursing at the University of Basra participated in the central graduation ceremony for the 58th session, under the slogan "Course of Excellence and Creativity" for the academic year 2024-2025. The ceremony was held at the Palm Trunk Stadium in the Sports City. The ceremony was attended by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Sundus Baqir Dawood, and Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Salman, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, along with a number of faculty members and students of the college, and was attended by a number of political and security leaders and a large gathering of students. The ceremony was held on Thursday, October 23, 2025. The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the Iraqi national anthem, amidst praise and pride in the victories of our valiant army. The University President delivered his speech, highlighting the University of Basra's role in providing society with academic talent and guiding graduating students to pursue careers in the workplace. He emphasized the need to leverage these young talents and energies to build Iraq.
Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad al-Nawab congratulated his graduating students, saying, "I congratulate you and bless you for your graduation at this joyful ceremony, a ceremony whose image will remain in the minds of our students throughout their working lives. Today, you have transitioned from the stage of receiving knowledge and arming yourself with culture to the fields of work. By field of work, I do not mean only the fields of work, but rather the work to change the way we live. Nations and peoples advance through worlds of change that are in harmony with the demands of the times."
After that, gifts were distributed to the top graduating students in the colleges by the university president. Gifts were also distributed to the top students by the college deanship, represented by its dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab. The attendees expressed their determination to progress and continue giving to serve Iraq in various scientific and humanitarian specialties.
