The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on the contribution of different levels of N, P, and K, as well as concentrations of humic acid, to the growth and productivity of oats.
The session, delivered by researcher Walid Khaled Shakhim, aimed to study the optimal levels of added elements and the optimal concentration of humic acid, and to determine the best combinations of these factors to achieve the highest productivity and best quality.
The results showed a significant effect of both factors in improving growth characteristics, which was positively reflected in increasing yields in quantity and quality.
The study also suggested adopting a fertilizer level of 120:75:90 kg NPK per hectare for oats. Furthermore, a concentration of 18 g/L achieved a significant increase in growth, yield, and quality characteristics.
