The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Directorate of Research and Development / Department of Entrepreneurial Project Management has announced an online workshop entitled (Trends in Publishing) as part of the strategic agreement between the Ministry and Elsevier, scheduled for Wednesday, May 30, 2024, at 12:00 PM (Iraq time).
The workshop aims to enhance the skills of faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students in the field of scholarly publishing by exploring the latest global trends in academic publishing and demonstrating how Elsevier’s tools can improve research quality and visibility.
The Directorate emphasized that this initiative aligns with the strategic goals of the Ministry to:
Support diverse research projects and innovative ideas in Iraqi universities.
Enable access to Scopus, a leading global research database.
Introduce publication metrics and journal evaluation indicators.
Promote international research collaboration and scientific dissemination.
The Ministry encourages all faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students to attend and engage actively in the workshop to benefit from insights on modern publishing practices and strategies for increasing the academic impact of Iraqi research.
