The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, held a ceremony to honor a number of its retired professors. The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafteh, his deputies for academic and administrative affairs, the Head of the Counseling Department, Dr. Maida Mardan, and a group of faculty members and students.
The Dean praised the retired professors for their contributions and significant efforts in serving the academic community, stating that their service serves as a model of dedication and perseverance despite the difficult circumstances they faced.
Dr. Wissam Jumaa explained that this honoring was a symbolic expression of the College's appreciation for their scientific and educational contributions, emphasizing the importance of utilizing their expertise after retirement so that their contributions can continue to support future generations.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean presented commemorative plaques to the honored professors, expressing his wishes for their continued health and for their continued connection with the College, which is proud of their contributions to knowledge and achievement
