The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the launch of the electronic application form for the Governmental Special University Education Channel (Parallel Admission) in public universities for the academic year 2025/2026.
The application regulations stipulate that the applicant's average score must not be less than:
• Three degrees below the minimum admission requirement for the Medical Group Colleges.
• Four degrees below the minimum admission requirement for the Engineering Group Colleges.
• Five degrees below the minimum admission requirement for the Science Colleges.
• Six degrees below the minimum admission requirement for the rest of the specializations.
While students who graduated in the previous academic year 2023/2024 and the academic year 2024/2025 can apply to this channel, the Ministry confirms that the student's previous admission (Central, Direct, Evening, or Private) will be canceled if they begin studies through the Parallel Education Channel, and they will not be entitled to revert to their previous acceptance.
The electronic application via the Studies Department portal (https://dirasat.mohesr.gov.iq) will continue until Monday, November 3, 2025.
