The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar entitled "Aquatic Pollution by Antibiotics: A Global Environmental and Health Challenge in Light of the One Health Concept."
The lecture was presented by Professor Dr. Khalida Salem Khudair, and addressed the impact of antibiotic concentrations in water on ecological balance and the risk of antibiotic resistance. The seminar also discussed the One Health concept and the most prominent global strategies for reducing environmental pollution.
The seminar recommended the necessity of raising environmental awareness and integrating research, medical, and veterinary efforts to achieve the sustainability of aquatic ecosystems.
