The Cultural Center at the University of Basra Joins the Basra Cultural CouncilThe Cultural Center at the University of Basra has joined the Basra Cultural Council, chaired by Dr. Aqeel Al-Furaiji, head of the Cultural Committee in the Basra Provincial Council, as part of efforts to strengthen cultural and institutional cooperation between the university and cultural institutions in the province.This membership came after a meeting between the Director of the Cultural Center, Professor Dr. Murad Hameed Abdullah, at the University of Basra and Dr. Aqeel Al-Furaiji, during which ways to activate cultural partnership between the two sides and coordinate joint efforts to serve the cultural and intellectual movement in the city of Basra were discussed.Both parties emphasized the importance of unifying cultural visions and initiatives in a way that contributes to supporting creativity and youth talent, and enhancing the role of academic institutions in enriching the cultural scene with quality projects and events.At the end of the meeting, the Director of the Cultural Center expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Al-Furaiji for his significant efforts in supporting Basra’s culture, affirming the university's commitment to continuing fruitful collaboration to serve culture and society.
