A scientific delegation from the Marine Sciences Centre visited the Plant Cell and Tissue Culture Laboratory, which is affiliated with the Basra Directorate of Agriculture. The delegation included several faculty members from the Department of Marine Sciences. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between state institutions and contribute to serving the community, ministries and other institutions. During the visit, the most important areas of the tissue culture laboratory were explained in detail, including the basics of preparing agricultural media, sterilisation, and tissue culture. The delegation then viewed tissue culture models created by some graduate students. The meeting concluded with an agreement to maintain communication in order to advance tissue culture in our beloved province.
