The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basrah Wins First Place in Publishing Humanities Research
The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basrah achieved a distinguished academic accomplishment by winning first place among Iraqi universities in publishing humanities research. This achievement was recognized in the results of the 2024 Iraqi Science Day Awards, specifically the international publishing competition in Clarivate and Scopus databases for scientific and humanities disciplines.
This accomplishment followed the submission of the research paper titled "Modeling the Impact of Land Use Changes on the Trend of Monthly Temperature in Basrah Province, Southern Iraq," presented by Dr. Safaa Abdul-Amir Rashm Al-Asadi.
Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, commended this success, emphasizing that it represents a significant contribution to the development of scientific research, the advancement of knowledge, and the service of society.
Dr. Haider Khazal Al-Kaabi, the University President's Scientific Assistant, also praised the achievement, which reflects the university's ongoing support for scientific research and strengthens its position in national and international rankings. Dr. Wissam Jumaa praised the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences for this scientific excellence, stressing the college’s keenness to provide a productive research environment and to encourage faculty members to publish sound research that meets the needs of society and contributes to the development of human knowledge.
