The College of Nursing at Basra University participated with its student team in the Basra University Powerlifting Championship, held at the Panther Sports Hall in the Al-Sa'i area. Student Karrar Yousef, a third-year evening student, achieved third place in the 59 kg weight class. Thirteen colleges from Basra University participated in the championship.
The Dean of the College of Nursing, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Mohammed Al-Nawab, congratulated the College of Nursing team on their victory in the championship, which was organized by the university administration. He praised the role of the Student Activities Division and the coaching staff in preparing and training the team members.
For his part, Dr. Zuhair Salem Abdul-Razzaq, Head of the Student Activities Unit, affirmed the College of Nursing team's well-deserved victory in the championship and outlined their preparations for participation in student championships to be held before the end of the first semester.
