Dr.Lama Ahmed Abdullah, a member of Basrah University - College of Medicine , participated in a workshop on air pollution and its impact on human health, specifically cancerous diseases, which was held by the Department of Environmental Protection and Improvement in the Southern Region, in cooperation with Basrah University and Basrah Health Department. Dr. Lama Ahmed Abdullah spoke about the effect of air pollution on cancer, especially lung cancer.
