The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled "Clinical Review of Three Oral Lipoma Cases," which addressed the clinical review of three cases of oral lipoma that appeared in different intraoral sites.
The lecture, presented by Zahraa Fayyad Omair, a teaching assistant in the Department of Oral Diagnosis, included a detailed presentation of three documented cases from the teaching clinics. The lecture discussed the different locations of the lipomas, the appropriate surgical intervention methods for each case, and the best post-treatment follow-up strategies.
The lecture aimed to highlight the clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of oral lipoma cases, emphasizing their importance in early detection and differentiation from other oral lesions that may share similar clinical signs.
At the end of the lecture, the researchers recommended the need to strengthen clinical documentation and encourage the expansion of scientific research on rare oral lesions, given their important role in supporting diagnostic knowledge and improving the efficiency of clinical practices.
