The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah presented a scientific lecture addressing the latest advancements in the treatment of non-biological teeth, specifically focusing on pulp regeneration for immature permanent teeth.
The lecture, delivered by Lecturer Hayam Salah, reviewed the scientific foundations of regenerative endodontics and its role in enabling the root to continue its natural growth, in contrast to traditional methods that rely on creating a calcified barrier that halts the root's full development.
The lecture also explained the fundamental steps of bioregenerative treatment and its importance in addressing the clinical challenges associated with teeth with dead pulp, along with discussing the potential applications of this technique in daily dental treatments.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion where students posed questions about the clinical aspects of regenerative treatment.
