The President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, announced the suspension of official working hours in all university departments on Thursday, January 15, 2026, on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Musa ibn Ja'far al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), to allow university staff and students the opportunity to participate in the pilgrimage ceremonies.
