The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, represented by the women's Affairs Unit, organized an attendance seminar entitled "Art and sports to restore psychological balance", as part of its programs aimed at promoting awareness of mental health and supporting humanitarian and social aspects among students and the academic community.
The seminar aims to shed light on the concept of art therapy, its importance as one of the modern methods of supporting mental health, and its role in achieving psychological balance and improving the quality of life.
The seminar included a lecture presented by Assistant Teacher sudid Ayed Abdul Ali, in which she addressed the topic of art therapy as an effective expressive means that contributes to unloading negative emotions, reorganizing internal feelings, enhancing psychological stability in individuals, as well as highlighting the role of sports in supporting both mental and physical health.
