Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdulameer Abdullah Almusawi, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah, our college organized a scientific lecture on the environment of microbes and the introduction of the techniques of isolating bacteria in a pure medium. The lecture was attended by Assistant Lecturer Noor Jabbar Muhammad, an instructor at the Medical Sciences department.
The lecture included how we can use experiments to test drug sensitivity and the effectiveness of sterilizers on the growth of these bacteria in the medium
The purpose of the lecture was to familiarize students with the dangers of bacteria present in the environment and the method of isolating these bacteria and the components of the culture medium and their usefulness and the bacteria with bacterial characteristics that appear in the medium after growth and its usefulness in diagnosis.
