The President of the University of Basra, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, signed an off on the funding for the salaries of university staff for January 2026, in full and without any deductions, after obtaining the necessary approvals from the Ministry of Finance/Accounting Department.
The University President emphasized that this measure stems from the University's commitment to guaranteeing the financial rights of its faculty and staff, and is in compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He noted that salaries will be disbursed in full according to established procedures, without any reduction in allocations.
He added that the University of Basra continues its diligent efforts with relevant authorities to ensure the job security and financial stability of its staff, in appreciation of their efforts and pivotal role in supporting the educational and research process.
The signing of the salary funding is an important step that reflects the University administration's commitment to providing a stable work environment and strengthening trust between the administration and its staff, which will positively impact the academic and administrative performance of the University.
