Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and with the follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah,
the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah participated in the Scientific Achievements Exhibition held at the College of Medicine, University of Basrah.
The participation of nursing students in the Global Entrepreneurship Week activities underscores the college's commitment to supporting creativity and innovation and promoting a culture of scientific research and entrepreneurship among students. This participation reflected a distinguished level of academic awareness and the ability to transform ideas into practical projects that serve the community and the health sector.
This participation was supervised by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Sundus Baqir, and the Head of the Incubator Unit at the College of Nursing, Assistant Lecturer Hiba Abdul-Baqi, within the framework of nurturing young talent and supporting promising student initiatives. With the participation of several college students, the event showcased a range of outstanding entrepreneurial projects. These included the Bio-Flow project, which aims to promote freedom of movement and foot health, and the Identity project, which reflects the concept of personal and cultural identity through design and tailoring. Another project featured an electronic application for monitoring patients with chronic diseases, contributing to improved healthcare quality and daily health tracking. These projects demonstrated the nursing students' commitment to harnessing scientific and technological knowledge to serve the community and develop their creative and research skills, thus contributing to the preparation of qualified healthcare professionals capable of keeping pace with modern advancements in the medical and nursing fields.
