This study examined the nonlinear optical properties of RAP dye using diffraction ring patterns and Z-scanning at a wavelength of 473 nm. The dye was dissolved in four solvents: methanol, DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide), DMF (dimethylformamide), and acetone. The spectroscopic analysis results showed that the dye dissolved in acetone exhibited higher absorbance compared to the dye dissolved in methanol, DMSO, and DMF. The results showed that the solvent affects the nonlinear optical properties. The highest nonlinear refractive index value was recorded using diffraction ring patterns and Z-scan for the dye dissolved in acetone, which had the highest absorbance compared to the dye dissolved in methanol, DMSO, and DMF. The optical limiting properties of the dye dissolved in the four solvents were also investigated. The highest threshold value was found with methanol, and the lowest with acetone
