The College of Education for Human Sciences holds a group therapy session for drug addicts
The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra held a group treatment session for drug addicts in cooperation with Al-Faiha Hospital. The Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hamid Siraj Jaber, said, “We have cadres specialized in treating addictions, and in order to contribute to combating the spread of addiction, we have cooperated with Al-Faiha Hospital By providing them with professors who specialize in treating addiction, and for his part, the teacher in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Moazzani said: “Addiction to drugs is a dangerous disease, because of its negative psychological effects on the user, and it needs to intensify efforts to limit its spread,” Al-Muzani added. Helping addicts recover from their psychological effects gives a glimmer of hope to get rid of addiction.
It is worth noting that this cooperation between the Deanship of the College of Education for Human Sciences and government hospitals for the treatment of psychological conditions and addiction is not the first of its kind, as it was agreed to free a number of professors for specific days to hold such treatment sessions, and that cooperation resulted in impressive results ...
