An upcoming cooperation plan between the Cultural Center and the Iraqi Artists Syndicate Basra Branch

The Director of the Cultural Center, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Abboud, received the administrative body of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, Basra branch, in the presence of Mr. Fathi Shaddad, the artists' captain. A joint meeting was held between the two departments. During the meeting, four main axes were discussed, which represented the agenda of the meeting, which are as follows
First: Coordination of a central meeting that includes active organizations and institutions in the city interested in the cultural and artistic aspect to discuss the cultural reality in the city and search for factors of cooperation to promote it creatively and humanly.
Second: Paying attention to the activity of the theater and city project, which is a strategic project to create a visual theatrical movement that draws its ability from the past and reshapes the present to express the future theatrically
Third: Preparing for the celebration of World Theater Day
Fourth: To move on cultural institutions in the city in order to create a pressure force on the local government to support the culture and arts in the city.
For his part, the Director of the Cultural Center, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Abboud, stated that the center's goal is to hold a set of joint agreements and memorandums of cooperation specialized in addition to culture and arts so that the university plays its active role in moving the cultural scene in the province through cooperation within a strategy in which the role of the university as a supporter of social culture and the alignment of its national components is clear.
