The Department of biology Sciences continues to equip its laboratories with modern equipment and upgrade laboratory infrastructure:
As part of its scientific development plans and efforts to enhance laboratory infrastructure, the Department of Life Sciences at the College of Science has equipped several of its laboratories with modern scientific equipment and supplies. This equipment will support the practical and research work of students and researchers.
These upgrades included the purchase of two secure incubation cabinets, one designated for the Animal Tissue Culture Laboratory and the other for the Medical Bacteriology Laboratory, thus contributing to a safe and precise laboratory environment.
The department also acquired two PCR machines, one of which was placed in the central laboratory, while the other was allocated to the Biotechnology Laboratory, supporting molecular applications and modern scientific research.
As part of ongoing development and maintenance work, the Applied Microbiology Laboratory was renovated and equipped. Additionally, the central laboratory and the Applied Microbiology Laboratory were provided with new refrigerators for storing laboratory samples.
Three dissecting microscopes were also delivered to the Plant Taxonomy and Anatomy Laboratory, supporting practical work and enhancing the laboratory's educational capabilities. These steps come under the supervision and follow-up of the department head, within the framework of the continuous endeavor to raise the scientific level and provide an advanced laboratory environment that keeps pace with the requirements of education and scientific research.
