The College of Nursing at the University of Basra organized its scientific symposium on the emerging corona virus, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, President of Basra University, and with the participation of researchers from Basra University, in which Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Abdullah Yaqoub, Dr. Sajjad Salem Issa, teacher Karim Ali Qassem and Dr. Sundus Baqer Dawood, attended the seminar. To spreading cultural and scientific awareness and knowledge of the basic and main causes of this deadly virus because it is a virus that causes an infection of the upper respiratory tract and throat infections, and to know the basic ways to protect us from this virus . The symposium included several axes, the most important of which was a general picture of the disease, its history and methods of prevention, the second axis dealt with awareness of the disease with video clips, and the third axis dealt with the new virus and its characteristics, and the fourth axis dealt with the spread of the epidemic of the disease. The researchers called for taking the necessary precautions by avoiding contact with infected patients and avoiding direct interaction with animals. At the end of the seminar, Prof. Dr. Nael Hussein Ali, Dean of the College, said that it seeks to improve its scientific output. |
