The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized a workshop about perceiving financial corruption.
The workshop aims to educate the participants and edification them about corruption, its manifestations and methods of confronting it, increase awareness of it, and define its dangerous effects and consequences.
The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Rifat Abdullah Jassim, included defining the importance of this type of studies, as well as defining the term corruption, its various study approaches, its forms and types, the extent of its spread, its danger to the individual, and society, and methods of confronting it.

At the end workshop, the recommendation was to set up workshops for the Staff of the departments on this subject, and that the issue of financial and administrative corruption would be the priority to introduce it to the various section of society due yo its dangerousness
