The College of Pharmacy hosted a group of the Dates Palm Research Centre professors and the research team professors from various colleges, in the presence of the President of University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Falah Hasan Shri, and the Director of the Palm Research Centre Prof. Dr. Khairallah. Dr. Falah stated: The aim of this meeting was to identify the problems and obstacles facing the research centre in date palm cultivation and to reach radical solutions to solve these problems, as well as tissue cultivation for all crops, was addressed, and it was agreed to form committees specialized in studying the problems of dates palm cultivation and finding appropriate solutions to them. For his part, the President of University of Basrah thanked the staff of the research team and the staff of the College of Pharmacy who supported and rehabilitated the Dates Palm Research Centre.
