Under the patronage of the University's president Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, together MSC dirctetr Prof. Dr. Nouri Abdul Nabi Nasser, the Center organized, in cooperation with the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra, a scientific symposium on waste recycling in Basra between reality and ambition
After the inauguration with verses from the Holy Quran and the national anthem, a welcoming speech was delivered by the Dean of the College of Marine Sciences in the presence of the Ceo of the Basra Investment Commission and the Director of the Asphalt Lab, in addition to the Director of the Polymer Research Center
The symposium included lectures on the recycling of oil and salt wastes and methods of their exploitation from the industrial side, as well as methods of recycling plastic waste, in addition to a lecture on Waste of energy.
