PHD in Department of Education and psychology in College of Human Scince in University of Basrah , " Making a Scale of Performance Evaluation of Staff Members of Dept.of English Language at University in Terms of the Norms of the World Union of Teaching Language , TESOL " , Written by Wissam Abdulkareem Hameed .
The present study aims at constructing a scale to assess the performance of English language instructors at the Iraqi universities in terms of TESOL areas of assessment (language, culture,lecture planning , classroom management, assessment and professional development) .
The study results have shown that there is no statistically significant differences between th attitudes of the English language teaching staff members in terms of the variable of gender in the
performance fields according to TESOL criteria.
The researcher recommends that English Language teaching staff members should be given some opportunities for methodological training and they should be provided with the up to date teaching technologies.
