Dissertation Outline: The dissertation falls into three Chapters. Chapter One deals with cultural propensities in the discourse of Al-Hasan Al-Basri, Chapter Two deals with the sociology of discourse, Chapter Three discusses the impact of authority dominance in the discourse of Al-Hasan Al-Basri.
Conclusion: The dissertation has come up with the following conclusions
Because of political reasons, Al-Hasan Al-Basri’s texts imply most of the ideological orientations indirectly. It means that he was obliged to use some implicit techniques in order not to be discovered by the authority. The researcher tries to find and uncover these techniques and procedures of cultural propensities by cultural criticism approach.
