An academic delegation representing the University of Basrah discussed mutual scientific cooperation with the Holy Shrine of Abbbasya .
The delegation was headed by the President of University of Basrah Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen and his accompanying delegation, where the meeting was held with the General Secretary of the Holy Alaabbasya Shrine , Professor Muhammad Al-Ishaqir, the Education Officer at the Holy Shrine, Dr. Abbas Al-Durra ,the director of the sponsor company, the director of the brigade company, the head of the intellectual and cultural section at the shrine, and the public relations official, where the delegation discussed investment projects to be put on the threshold and discussed ways of joint cooperation between University of Basrah and the Holy shrine, where it was agreed to develop mechanisms for mutual scientific cooperation between the two sides during the coming days, and the possibility to get benefits from experiences in supporting investment projects for the University of Basrah, and on the sidelines of the meeting, the President of the University honored the Secretary General of the Holy Shrine with the shield of creativity and distinction due to the efforts made by the Holy Shrine to serve the community and academic scientific movement. The meeting also included a visit to the most important projects of the Abbasya shrine, and the visiting delegation was briefed on these projects and their working mechanisms.
