Topic & Abstract: The dissertation tackles …Greimas theory in Arabic studies based on the western studies for this theory. The study was of criticism, evaluation and correction to the studies that applied this theory on the different narrations. So part of the study devoted for explaining the theory and another shed light on its application. The study tried to answer if the Arab researchers were apple to apply it correctly or not.

The theory interested in the semantic notification weather it was verbal or non verbal, also many of the Arabic and Iraqi studies confused many times between the theory and prob theory or mixing of inside and outside meanings of Greimas theory
Recommendations: The Study recommends the following (3 lines )
They study recommended reconcidering all the studies who tried to apply the theory concerning their realization of theoritcal parts and its application. Also it will be good to motivate the Iraqi translators to translate such important books and stop depending the Arabic western translation for their lack to many Arabic language control
