Basra University Organizes an Electronic Scientific Lecture on “The Honorable Birth of the Messenger of Humanity Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the Narrations of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them): A Comparative Analytical Study
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basra organizes an electronic scientific lecture on “The Honorable Birth of the Messenger of Humanity Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the Narrations of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them): A Comparative Analytical Study” given by the lecturer Duaa Adnan Ramadan. The lecture aims at highlighting the narrations of the Imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) about the Prophet’s biography and refer to them because they are more trusted than others, and for their relation to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as their grandfather.
The lecture includes the narrations of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) about the Noble Prophet's birthday without mentioning further details about the honourable biography of the Messenger (pbuh) to be consistent with the title. The lecture reveals the beginning of the spatio-temporal aspects of the noble birth of the Prophet and how Muslims agree on the year and month of the blessed birth, but they differ about the day; the Imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) believe that his birth (pbuh) is on Friday, the 17th of the month of Rabi’ Al-Awwal, and this day was distinguished for its honour, blessing, joy and happiness. Several actions were specified for this day, including visiting the Holy Shrines, fasting and charity. Other narrations mention that the Prophet’s birth was on Monday, the 12th of Rabi’ Al-Awwal. Also, the lecture includes the signs and miracles that happened during this blessed birth
The lecturer Duaa Adnan called for depending on the narrations of the Imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to get the news of the Prophet’s biography and refer to them because of their credibility, and their proximity to the event.
On his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul-Wahid Ziyara Al-Mansouri praises such valuable scientific proposals that serve scientific research and researchers who refer to such proposals and include them in their studies.
