The Cultural Center, the Photography Association for the Construction and Development of Photographic Art and the Photography School signed a cultural agreement in the places of culture and photographic arts, in the presence of members of the center's board of directors, administrative members of the association and employees of the center.
The two sides agreed on: First
The two parties undertake to cooperate in holding joint training courses and holding workshops and seminars according to a training program to develop the capabilities and skills of young people in the field of various photographic arts, including:
1- Holding joint training courses in the field of photography in all its axes
2- Holding training courses in the field of modification and design
3- Holding training courses in the field of video, short and documentary movies
Second:
Holding specialized cultural and artistic conferences taking advantage of university academic professors and expert photographers on cultural, aesthetic, artistic and historical topics embodied creatively by the image.
Third:
Emphasizing the exchange of artistic and cultural experiences between the two parties in coordination topics and opening the way for researchers and photographers to perform their creativity under the supervision and training of specialists and the production of artworks in a collective spirit that believes in common collective creativity.
Fourth:
Holding joint activities, events and celebrations within a planned and organized program agreed upon by the parties and implemented in a bilateral cooperative manner.
Fifth: Holding specialized workshops and introductory and specialized seminars in photographic arts and under the supervision of professionals in this art from Iraqis, Arabs or foreigners in order to enhance the role of exchanging artistic experiences.
Sasa: Holding photographic tours in Basra Governorate to see its landmarks and photograph them in artistic ways in order to preserve the city's architectural heritage through the picture and convey this cultural value of the city to the world
Seventh: Holding local and international exhibitions, festivals and joint photographic celebrations in management and production within a Mudros program that represents the joint work plan between the two parties
Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Abboud, Director of the Cultural Center, mentions the University of Basra, represented by its cultural center and the photographic association for the construction and development of photographic art, seeks to organize and coordinate joint cooperation in the field of culture and photography, in order to create a distinctive cultural movement in the city of Basra based on the exchange of experiences, bridges of cooperation and communication and the promotion of the city's culture and history through the rehabilitation, training and development of the skills of young people in this vital artistic field.
