A doctoral dissertation defense discusses reducing the concentrations of some gases that have direct influence on the global warming

       In this study, three series of Pt,Pd,Ni/Mg_1-xLa_xO, Co,Pd,Ni/Ca_1-xLa_xO and Pt,Pd,Ni/Ca_1-xZr_xO catalysts (where x = 0, 0.03, 0.07, and 0.15), were synthesized by using co-precipitation method with K₂CO₃ as a precipitant.

      The results of the present study demonstrated that the Pt,Pd,Ni/Ca_0.85Zr⁴⁺_0.15O catalyst had the best activity in the dry reforming of methane with 98% and 85 %CO₂ and CH₄ conversions, respectively, and 1.14 H₂/CO ratio at a temperature of 900^°C and a CH₄:CO₂ ratio of 1:1. Also, a high stability of  the Pt,Pd,Ni/Ca_0.85Zr⁴⁺_0.15O catalyst was observed when studying it for a long duration (200h). The conversion of CH₄ was enhanced by passing 1.25% stream of oxygen.
