A master thesis entitled (the Establishment of Al-Zubair City, the Historical Dimension of its Religious Function and the Factors Contributing to its Establishment) was discussed in the Department of Geography and Information Systems at the College of Arts
The thesis presented by the student Rana Mahdi Saad Abdullah consisted of four chapters in which it dealt with the establishment of Al-Zubair city, the historical dimension of its religious function, the factors contributing to its establishment, the spatial distribution of the religious institutions in Al-Zubair city for the year 2019, the efficiency of the religious institutions in Al-Zubair city for the year 2019, the future vision and the numerical and cadastral needs of the religious institutions in Al-Zubair city
The thesis discussed the status of religious institutions in Al-Zubair city through the spatial distribution compared to local standards, as well as a reference to the establishment of Al-Zubair city and its impact on the religious function
The study concluded that the religious character is the basis of the character of Al-Zubair city establishment. The number of religious worship institutions is 101 institutions and the number of non-worshipping institutions is 2 institutions in 2019
