The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, affirmed the work on a scientific strategy that extends until the year two thousand and thirty. In his speech during the second day of the Iraqi Human Development Forum held in Baghdad on June 1, 2021, in cooperation with the World Bank Group, he said that it is important for international cooperation with Iraq to contribute to the development of human capital to achieve sustainable development goals. In the context of dialogues in which representatives from the ministries of education, planning and finance, experts, academics, professors from the Ministry of Education and Iraqi universities and specialists from the World Bank Group participated, he explained that Iraqi educational institutions deal with changes and challenges according to flexible procedures and do not neglect the formulation of requirements imposed by strategic dealing with the coming years, stressing Initiating the formulation of a scientific strategy that starts from analyzing the reality of education in Iraq and linking it to the challenges and extends until the year two thousand and thirty and takes into account the national strategy document for education drawn up from the year two thousand and twelve until the year two thousand and twenty-two. The participants expressed their hope to formulate strategic cooperation between Iraq and the competent international organizations to provide the state's sectors and institutions with the necessary support in terms of capacity building, skills development, and achieving the goal of development by investing in human capital in Iraq. |
